Both articles helped me gain more information about African culture and their dance when researching to include more information for my target audience. The research helped me decide on final drafts and how I should organise my article. Research was very important as it made me aware of not what to include. To complete a good article I research formats of other articles which may or may have not had the same article as mine and it helped me have an idea of what my final article will look like. By researching all these articles it helped me see that not all articles are over loaded with text. Many include images that suit with the article. I found this interesting as I could add content but I could switch it up with my own primary sources and own written text. I came across videos on YouTube that showed me different styles of dance that are popular within the African community and it helped me complete my article based on history of the African culture.

Over all research helped me a lot as my written style in my own article improved in my final draft. I looked at how text was positioned and that the fact that text was not overwhelming. My written style depended on the target audience, in one article it was mainly formal but within the other it had a mixture of informal and formal text according to my target audience, but for my teen articles I will include an interview which will relate to the reader. My layout ideas came very quickly as I got ideas from my research. I made sure I experimented with columns and gutters, I also changed positions of my images so I could decide my final look. The research was a good impact as I knew what content to include in my articles. I made sure my text was written well and wouldn’t be biased towards anyone. I also made sure my content was true and not fake as viewers may be upset by the content produced. My mode of address was different for both target audiences.

As one of my articles was about rivalry of two dance groups which was mainly informal and based to inform the audience about two dance groups who are popular within east London. In another article I made it very formal with facts about the history of the African dance culture and made sure there were no jokes included as it was very serious and straight forward.

For my podcast I made sure that the language used was suitable for my target audience which was teenagers in between the ages of 14-19 and my secondary audience who were those who were interested in the African culture and dance. I did this by using formal language within the introduction of my podcast and informal language during my interview and my conclusion. I stuck to my topic throughout the whole podcast and made it clear that it was mainly about the African dance culture and two dance groups.

I had a clear beginning, middle and end which also helped me with the format of my podcast allowing me to know what had to be done during each period for example, I knew that within period one I had to give myself enough time to do my introduction and sound check, during period two I was able to complete my interview and in period three I finally completed my podcast with a conclusion and words of wisdom to my fellow young viewers. This then allowed me to have enough time in period four to have a layout of what I would do for my podcast and create ideas by finding music which will fit well with my podcast. Once having my plan sorted out I was able to put it all together by editing it through Logic.

My strengths were having a script which helped me with my podcast and having a character play the role of DJ Kwamz original to complete my interview. Another strength was having a creative introduction to DJ Kwamz Original which would be a familiar voice over for those audience members who are familiar with the DJ. Improvements that could've been included to make my podcast better was having a theme tune in the beginning to introduce the Podcast just like a radio station or news channel would have; for example, BBC news have a familiar theme tune at the beginning of ever broadcast which is a familiar sound to their audience and even if they cannot see what's going on their television that theme tune makes them aware that BBC news is being aired at that particular moment.

When planning this product, i started off with different ideas which led to me making plenty magazine covers but finally i came to my final idea. I wanted to have the best quality but not overload the front cover with words and images therefore i stuck to one image and my template which eventually came to place and was uploaded. It was difficult to find models who were free as everyone surrounding me in my age group either has plenty coursework that needed to be done or exams to revise for. This made it hard for me but i eventually found the time to complete my work.

Taking my pictures was the easiest part of the production as there was already natural lighting as well as the artificial one. This made my pictures bright for everyone to see clearly. The resolution for this image wasn't as clear as it could have been which made the image look blurry. i realised that maybe instead of using my iPhone camera, i should have used a DSLR camera to get good quality. As i had taken a variety of shots, i had a lot of images to choose from so as i was editing, i was able to play around with the images to see which best suited the background.

To complete my magazine cover i looked at other magazine covers which could help me with my idea as i was confused in the beginning and didn't know where to start.

The strengths of this unit was to take the picture within the skate park as i already had positions in my head which i knew would be different to other models as i didn't want to look like a duplicate of any other magazine that already existed. My weaknesses were finding models and having them all come and meet me in one location without having problems.

The camera support was a tripod as it stayed still and i was able to have a timer which allowed me to have enough time to set my camera in a suitable position and pose for the camera. I kept my background as i believed it was different and suitable for the genre i chose for my photography.
